That’s why, behind the scenes at Ednition, we’ve been making key improvements to help the season run smoothly. From reducing the back-and-forth over CSV files to giving you more visibility into syncs, our latest updates are designed to cut down on the noise and help you focus on what matters most: Supporting and delivering value to your districts.

Spotlight: Enhanced SFTP Support

We know file management can become overwhelming this time of year. Our enhanced SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) flow is designed to make it simpler, clearer, and less error-prone. Here’s what’s new:

• Clearer notifications for first-time uploads: Instead of seeing a “sync error” when no mappings are set, you’ll now get a “files uploaded” notification. That means you can track when files arrive without looking at logs.
  
• Process a partial batch of files: A new (optional) checkbox lets you process files even if only some of the expected CSVs are uploaded. Missing files are automatically filled with the last successfully processed batch, so you can keep things moving instead of waiting.
  
• Notification on all file uploads: Another new checkbox option sends notifications every time a file is uploaded, not just when a sync runs. You’ll always know when districts send files, even partial ones.
  
• Write mappings before processing: Files without custom mappings are no longer auto-processed on arrival. Instead, you can now create or adjust mappings before syncing, giving you greater control over transformations.

Together, these updates cut through the chaos of back-to-school data exchanges and give your team more confidence when working with districts.

Introducing: AI Sync Summaries

We’ve also launched another new AI feature in RosterStream: AI-powered summaries. Enhancing the review of the circuit break experience, you’ll now see a clear AI-generated Summary of the most recent data sync. If a sync circuit breaks, the AI summary flags whether the changes look normal or abnormal, helping your team evaluate data changes quickly and efficiently.

‍This update saves valuable time, reduces unnecessary digging, and gives you more confidence in the integrity of your data.

And We Didn’t Stop There…

Here are several improvements across the platform that make rostering more intuitive and less time-consuming, to help your team move faster and support districts more effectively.

• Connection Requests: We’ve extended the connection request link expiration window to 7 days, giving districts more time to respond and reducing rework for your team.
  
• Restore Deleted Records: Records can now be restored for up to 12 months (configurable per Data Source), so you don’t lose critical IDs if those same IDs are reintroduced later.
  
• User Sync & Staff Role Updates: Teachers and students assigned only at the district level will now sync correctly and be mapped more accurately (teachers vs. aides).
